Little Bighorn Battlefield
June 1, 2007 Yesterday was another wonderful day. When I had lunch with Vicky and Sam the other day, Sam told me has was taking an employee of Coca Cola and his family to the Little Bighorn Battlefield on Thursday and he asked if I wanted to come. Of course I don’t say no to such an invitation so at 8.30 yesterday morning I met him and Sonny, his friend who is the curator for Fort Phil Kearny.
It was about an hour drive and I had such a great time sitting in front of Sam’s new truck in between a cowboy/writer with the boots, jeans, hat and all and a historian. I love how I am experiencing something different everyday. One moment I fly in a private jet and the next I am with the cowboys driving to some battlefield. These moments are so precious to me. We discussed the issues with the Indians and the Soldiers and ended up creating this story where I was the captive woman and they were going to trade me for some whiskey. I told them, as long as it was very expensive whiskey as I did not wanted to be sold to cheaply. We had a great time and many laughs and I could have driven like this forever. At the battlefield I could feel my heart tighten. This was where Colonel Custer had lost the battle and many of the soldiers got killed. You could definitely feel the energy of this. This all happened in 1877. It is so sad that we haven’t learned from those experiences and that we still live in a world of war. On the way back (they told me that they couldn’t even sell me for a beaded bracelet so they had decided to take me back home again. Lucky me!) we talked about how Native Americans were much more in tune with nature and with something bigger than we are. I told them that I am very intuitive but when I am at home it is so easy to get caught up in the every day routine it is hard for me to feel the guidance. When I am relaxed, my intuition increases. Every one of us is intuitive but most of us have lost this connection. When we start to listen to those little nudges, in time we will become more and more intuitive. I also mentioned that I do healing and that I have been working with horses while in this area. Sam said, maybe you can give Sonny some healing as he has problems in his hip. So I offered to do this. First he was reluctant but then he accepted so while driving back to
On our way back we stopped at the local pub for a drink. Yep, I am in Cowboy land! I just loved the experience. I hardly go to a bar or pub but it is fun to see how people live in this part of the world. Here I am, sitting in a bar in the middle of no where in an Indian Reservation having an orange juice with a cowboy and a historian. Life can bring you wonderful experiences when you let the Universe or your heart guide you.
